COVID-19 Information for Spa Guests

Booking your appointment with us

We have revised our menu this Summer and are able to offer Massage, Body treatments and Pedicures. We will not be offering Facials or Manicures.

All treatments need to be pre-booked. Currently, we are not able to accept walk-in appointments or group bookings. Please contact us via phone or email to book your spa appointments.

As a part of your booking confirmation we will be sending you a pre-screening self assessment tool. Please go through this thoroughly and honestly as we will not be treating clients with any signs or symptoms of Covid-19.

Cancellation Policy

Bookings with the Spa at Island Lake are subject to a 24-hour cancellation fee of 50% treatment cost.

If you must cancel due to illness or presentation of Covid-19 signs & symptoms there will be no fee and you can cancel at any time before you arrive at the Lodge (12 hours notice is preferred). You will be welcome to re-book with us after 10 days (assuming you are fully recovered).

If you arrive for your appointment and are presenting with symptoms of Covid-19 we are required to turn you away and you will be subject to a cancellation fee at full cost of treatments booked.

If you fail to show up for your treatment you will be charged full cost of treatment/s booked.

Disinfection Protocols in the Spa

The Spa at Island Lake employs high level, industry standard protocols for cleaning and disinfection. Cleaning takes place between clients and regularly throughout the day. We use medical grade, Canada Health approved disinfectants on all surfaces in treatment rooms and waiting areas. Linens are professionally laundered.

Arrival and Pre-Screening

Upon booking we will send you some pre-screening information you will need to go through.

Please arrive 10 minutes before your treatment time. We will have a hand sanitizing station in the entry way for your use. Masks will be made available to you. If you have your own mask you will be able to use it provided it is clean.

We will ask you to proceed to the change rooms to wash your hands and change out of your clothes into a spa robe and sandals. Showers are available if you need them.

Before your treatment, your therapist will go through the pre-screening and health history forms with you, answer any of your questions and obtain verbal and written consent from you to continue with spa treatments.

We will be controlling the number of patrons in the Spa at any one time to minimise contact and exposure. It will almost feel like you have the whole place to yourself!

During Your Treatment

Both you and your Spa Therapist will be required to wear masks in the treatment rooms.

Your therapist will be thoroughly washing their hands and forearms for at least 20 seconds before and after your treatment. In each treatment room there will be sanitizer, spare masks and gloves to use if necessary.

Linens in the treatment rooms are professionally laundered and sanitary. Presently, we are not able to use table warmers under linens.

After your treatment

You are welcome to sit and relax in the Solarium where we will offer you tea or water. Our saunas will not be available for use at this time.

Once you are ready to leave, change back into your clothes and discard your used robe and sandals in the allocated baskets in the change rooms.

Payment for spa treatments will take place upstairs at the Front Desk, where we will have Debit machines with a tipping option available. You will be emailed your receipts.
