Guests travel through Mount Fernie Provincial Park, up a backcountry road and through an old growth forest with 800-year-old Cedar, Spruce & Douglas Fir. They find themselves removed from civilization as they arrive at this unique backcountry lodge with 360-degree views of the Rocky Mountains and famous Lizard Range.
The stunning log accommodation and dining lodges are built from large wooden beams featuring picture windows, wood burning fireplaces and spacious decks with views of the Lizard Range. Being at the Lodge is reminiscent of a quiet, peaceful cabin in the woods with no TV’s or phones to distract from the scenic surroundings. Guests staying at the lodge can take advantage of the hiking and biking trails or walk to the lake to canoe or fly fish. For relaxation and rejuvenation, the Spa offers multiple treatments; followed with a cup of locally hand-crafted tea in the rustic outdoor space or in the serene relaxation room
The wedding ceremony is by the lake at the truly magical “I Dew Point”. With a long wooden boardwalk leading to the stage and the stunning Lizard Mountain Range as a backdrop, there is no need to worry about additional decorations. Guests enjoy the fresh air and big views and should not be surprised to spot eagles, bears or moose during their stay.
The restaurant offers an unforgettable, personalized 3-course fine dining experience for the reception dinner. Meals are hosted in one of the log cabin restaurants each with windows overlooking the Rocky Mountains. During warm evenings guests can go out on the spacious deck for fresh air while on colder evenings be warmed by the large wood-burning fireplace.
